PS5 Pro pre-orders are live at major retailers everywhere, having begun on September 26 at PlayStation and then at other retailers on October 10. Since an initial flurry on both days, stock seems to be very stable and readily available at a whole bunch of retailers ahead of the console's November 7 launch - but we're here to help keep track of as much stock as we can for you.

With so many options open now, we're here to help and have gathered up all the most pertinent links and information to make sure you get to where you need to be quickly. From the usual retailers to those that might not have first occurred to you, we're looking to provide all the options we can for a PlayStation 5 Pro.

We've stuck with the pre-order process since the console was officially announced.
Additionally, we have a whole page dedicated to DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition pre-orders, PS5 Slim 30th Anniversary Digital Edition pre-orders, as well as the wider PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pre-orders, if you want to check for stock on all those limited edition items as well as a handy page breaking down the best places to buy a PS5 disc drive and vertical stand.

Unsurprisingly, as it’s a key retailer for almost every major piece of tech on the planet, Amazon is a major seller of the PS5 Pro. At the time of writing Amazon is out of PS5 Pro stock, but we expect it to restock for pre-orders quickly. While Afterpay isn't available, if you'd like to pay over time you can through Zip.

PS5 Pro pre-orders: Disc drive and stand

Soon after the PS5 Pro was announced and it was confirmed that it won't be sole with a disc drive or vertical stand, interest in both, but particularly the former skyrocketed. As a result, it is going to pay to get both of those items sorted sooner rather than later before your PS5 Pro arrives, particularly if you already own a bunch of the best PS5 games on disc.

Remember, this is the same disc drive as the PS5 Slim currently uses, so it's already an established part of the ecosystem and PS5 family.

We have a dedicated page helping you find where to buy a PS5 Pro disc drive and vertical stand, but if you're looking for a quick look right now, then check out the prices below.

Should you pre-order the PS5 Pro?

While the case for actually having a PS5 Pro will be personal and depend on if you want to upgrade your setup and have the most powerful PlayStation 5 console, actually committing to a PS5 Pro pre-order to acquire your machine is a question to answer in and of itself - though one made a bit easier due to stock levels being good.

If you are already committed to the idea of getting the most performant PS5 console going and want to make the purchase, then placing a pre-order is, at its base level, just the best way to ensure you get one. While stock is readily available, it's worth thinking about whether you would just prefer to have the best PlayStation console available at the earliest possible time. If so, then a PS5 Pro pre-order is for you.

If you are committed to buying a PS5 Pro but are happy to wait, or if value for money and not paying full price is your goal, then I would not recommend placing a PS5 Pro pre-order. Pre-orders for the new console won't see you save any money on the machine itself, and you'll be paying full whack. Aside from free shipping perhaps, a PS5 Pro pre-order will get you a unit - but it'll be full price, starting at $700 / £700 / AU$1,199.

It's my favorite platform because of, simply put, the quality games and great hardware, but also from an accessibility perspective. As such, I'm the precise enthusiast audience for the PS5 Pro and so I've been invested in the PS5 Pro news since way back when, and am incredibly excited to cover the pre-order phase as well continuing to stay up-to-date with all the latest rumors, leaks, and updates regarding Sony's gaming hardware, accessories, and games.

PS5 Pro pre-orders: FAQs

How much will PS5 Pro pre-orders be?

The PS5 Pro is a premium console and will cost $699.99 / £699.99 (around AU$1,052.99).

We're unsure whether Sony or other retailers will bundle up the disc drive and/or the vertical stand in the PS5 Pro pre-orders, however. While this would make sense, retailers have been struggling to keep up with demand for both after the PS5 Pro was announced.

Will a PS5 Pro pre-order get me a disc drive and stand?

Sadly, a PS5 Pro pre-order will only bag you the premium, enhanced console in its default, all-digital form. If you want to get the disc drive and stand, you'll have to buy them separately.

Is there a new DualSense controller to go with PS5 Pro?

Unfortunately, there is no revised or improved version of the DualSense controller to come out with the PS5 Pro. There was a rumored 'V2' variant that seemed to appear at retailers earlier this year, but nothing official has come of it.
