85-inch TV Black Friday deals 2024: when do they start and everything else you need to know
Expect deals on TVs from Hisense, TCL, Samsung and more
Black Friday is only a few weeks away and some of the most popular pieces of tech that retailers love to discount are TVs. It's the perfect time of year to pick up a bargain, especially on big TVs. Here, we're looking at the best 85-inch TV Black Friday deals you can expect.
While some of the best Black Friday deals will be on or around the day itself, you can expect plenty of 85-inch TV offers to appear between now and then – with some retailers launching sales soon. In the US, Best Buy and Walmart have announced their Black Friday sales will kick off on November 8 and November 11 respectively. In the UK, Argos launches its sale November 1 and Currys is already launching some offers – and it's promising to price match the difference all the way to December 2!
When it comes to the best 85-inch TVs, you need to get the balance of performance vs price right as it can be easy to opt for a large, cheap LED screen, but this is something to beware, as I explained during Black Friday last year. Thankfully, there are a lot of great, 85-inch TVs out there that won't break the bank, such as the Hisnese U6N, Hisense U7N and Samsung Q80D to name a few.
On this page, we'll be adding any early deals we see from now on, all the way up to Black Friday so be sure to bookmark this page.

The Hisense U6N proves that capable mini-LED doesn't have to be pricey, delivering refined textures, bold colors and improved local dimming over standard LED screens for much less than you'd expect to pay. This deal puts the 85-inch model at just under $1,100, which is a record-low for this TV and a bargain at this size. Here's our full Hisense U6N review for more info.

It also comes with four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K, 120Hz, VRR and ALLM, alongside a wealth of cloud gaming options. While it's pricier than some of its budget rivals, it's still an excellent TV and this deal take it down to a record-low for its 85-inch model. You can read our full Samsung QN85D review here.

Although it is the entry-level model of Samsung's QLED range, the Samsung Q60D delivers excellent colors and rich contrast thanks to its Dual LED feature. 85-inch TV Black Friday deals: FAQs
When will the 85-inch TV Black Friday deals start in 2024?
85-inch Black Friday TV deals have already started! While we expect the best offers and biggest discounts to appear over the coming weeks, some retailers are already putting sales and offers live. In the UK, Currys has agreed to price match any future discounts all the way to December 2, so you should be able to buy now with confidence that you won't miss out, if you see a deal you like.
Black Friday deals will appear regularly from now on and although some retailers will the save their best offers until the day itself, we've seen record-low prices hit as early as the start of November before, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy an 85-inch TV?
Black Friday is a very good time to buy an 85-inch TV, as this often when retailers save their best deals for in the year. In the past, even in the lead up to day itself, we've seen best-of-year or record-low prices on 85-inch TVs.
We're always hoping for some more lowest ever prices this year, as we do every year, and although Amazon went big during its Prime Day and Big Deals Day events in July and October earlier this year, we expect it and other retailers to try and outdo themselves in November.
What 85-inch TV Black Friday deals should I expect?
The most likely sales are going to be on Hisense's range of mini-LED TVs, such as the Hisense U8N and Hisense U7N. Already great value TVs, they're a popular choice to receive the discount treatment, making them even better value – these TVs are always counted among the best TVs.
Samsung has a lot of 85-inch models, ranging from entry-level QLEDs like the Samsung Q60D all the way to its flagship 8K Samsung QN900D, and everything in between. We think its Q series, such as the Samsung Q80D, is prime target for some excellent offers. Expect deals on the likes of the Neo QLED range – Samsung QN85D and Samsung QN90D – as well.
For those looking to spend big, you can expect discounts on premium OLEDs as well, such as the LG G4, as Black Friday is often a popular time for retailers to offer tempting discounts on these higher priced sets.

Providing high brightness levels, HDR support including Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive and a host of gaming features such as 144Hz refresh rate, the Hisense U8K has a lot of brilliant features for a great price. TCL QM8 Class 85-inch 4K mini-LED TV: was $2,799.99 now $1,999 at Amazon
TCL's flagship TV has hit a near-record-low price in this early Black Friday TV deal. The QM8 Class is a high-brightness mini-LED model packed with features such as an anti-glare screen and both Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support. We admired its handling of sports, games, and movies in our TCL QM8 Class review, and would suggest you grab this great deal on the 85-inch model. Amazon doesn't currently it show that it's discounted but the price listed is lower.
Samsung QN90C 85-inch 4K mini-LED TV: was $3,499.99 now $2,599.99 at Best Buy
Samsung's top mini-LED TV is getting a nice $700 price cut in this official Best Buy Black Friday sale. The QN90C is about as bright as TVs get, and its anti-glare screen makes it a fantastic option for daytime sports viewing. In our Samsung QN90C review, we admired not just its bright, refined picture, but also its gaming features, which include 4 HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K 120Hz support and Samsung’s Gaming Hub for cloud-based gaming. This is a big deal on a very big-screen TV. You can also find a further $2 saving at Amazon.
TCL 85-inch Q6 QLED 4K TV: was $1,162 now $899.99 at Amazon
The TCL Q6 is a budget big screen for anyone looking for a giant TV with a low price tag. For under $900, you're getting a 4K, QLED, direct-lit panel, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support and a Game Accelerator that gives a virtual 120Hz refresh rate for video games. This won't give you the best picture from the 85-inch TVs on this list, but it is a bargain large screen for this Black Friday.
LG 83-inch C3 OLED TV: was $5,299.99 now $3,996.99 at Walmart
The LG C3 does everything you could want from a TV, whether it's gaming, movies or sports and it does it in a variety of sizes as well – although (admittedly) not 85-inches but given the feature set on offer with the C3, we still thought it was worth including. The price for the 83-inch C3 is still premium, but to see it drop below $4,000 makes it a fantastic value TV that should be a real consideration if it suits your budget.

Sony 85-inch X90L LED TV: was £2,999 now £2,499 at Currys
The Sony X90L has seen improved brightness levels over its predecessor, the X90K, and in our Sony X90L review, we also found it to have further refined its local dimming. It's still a premium price for an 85-inch TV, but with a further £500 off, the X90L is a solid option for any Sony fans looking for a big screen.
Samsung 85-inch CU8000 LED TV: was £1,999 now £1,395 at Amazon
In our review of the Samsung CU8000, we found it to not be the best option for movies, especially in dark conditions and its sound quality isn't the best. But, it does have good colors in brighter scenes, comes loaded with Samsung's Tizen smart TV platform and is a physically stunning TV. It's hard to argue against a deal for an 85-inch TV for under £1,400 and for those viewing in brighter conditions, this is an option you should consider.
